Day 1: Fes Sightseeing Guided Tour With Local Guide
On your 6-day journey from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga Sahara, we will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Fes for an amazing Fes Sightseeing guided tour in an air-conditioned car with a local multilingual guide.
First and foremost, our fez tour will include: the Andalusia mosque, built at the end of the 9th century, which has tanners’ quarters where leather is created using only natural colors. El-Attarine Madrasa, constructed in 1325, is the largest religious Quarraouine Mosque in the medina.
In addition, non-Muslims can visit Azouia Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Museum, the Royal Palace, and the Bab Boujloud Gate. We won’t be able to finish our tour until we’ve seen the most important monuments. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel/riad in Fez.
Day 2: Fes→ Azrou (Cedar Forest) → Midelt
We’ll leave Fes to Midelt after breakfast. we’ll drive through Ifrane, a resort created entirely in Moroccan style by the French in the 1930s. Then we’ll go to Azrou’s cedar woodlands to see the monkeys.
Most of our journey from Fes to Midelt will take us through beautiful forests, springs, and Berber villages… We’ll arrive in Midelt at the end of our journey and check into a hotel/riad for (dinner/overnight).
Day 3: Midelt → Arfoud → Merzouga
Following breakfast, we will begin our 6-day visit from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga and Erg Chebbi dunes, beginning in Midelt and ending in Marrakech.
We’ll stop regularly along the journey to take photos, enjoy the cool air, panoramic views, and see a large oasis of palm trees. When we get to Merzouga, we’ll search for a hotel/riad for (dinner/overnight).
Day 4: Explore Merzouga Region
We’ll leave the next day to visit KHAMLIA village and listen to Gnawa music. Then we’ll see disused mines, Berber nomads, and a palm-tree oasis…
Back to Merzouga for lunch and some break. In the evening, we’ll go on a camel trip across the sand dunes. The night will be spent in a well-equipped camp with drum music. This Morocco Sahara desert tour is an excellent opportunity to photograph the sunset and dawn.
During this period, we will discover the mysteries of the Sahara and its endless vistas. Night in (nomad Berber tents).
Day 5: Merzouga → Ouarzazate
Wake up early, walk across the sand dunes to view the sunrise, then return to the hotel for a shower, breakfast, and relaxation.
Then we take the route that leads to the Gorges. Stopping at Rissani to discover: the ancient monument of Sijilmassa, the major centre of desert trade, and the Kasbahs (village fortifications). Then, after traveling through Ziz Valley and gorges, we will take a short stroll into Todra Gorge to see the beauty of rivers and mountains.
Finally, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay in a riad or traditional Kasbah.
Day 6: Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
Following breakfast, we will travel to Ouarzazate to see the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios film studio.
From here, we travel to the Fint Oasis, which is located near Ouarzazate. Then, travel the Tizi-n-Tichka route, stopping for lunch along the way, and arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, when our 6-day tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert comes to a close.
